Bidra med feedbackAt least it 's open. The first time I ever came to Vancouver, I was time shifted after flying here from Florida, and the mentally handicapped teenager I was taking care of (his family was taking a cruise ship up the Inner Passage to Alaska, and I got to go along for free, plus got paid 60 hours wages best fringe benefit of my life! was sleeping safely in a hotel room with his brother. So I went on a 6 a.m. ramble along parts of Granville and Burrard streets looking for a cup of coffee. Only, nothing was open. It made me sneer at Vancouver for being a slow to rise town.<br/ <br/ Fast forward 15 years; I 've trotted all over the globe, living here now and looking for a 7 a.m. cappucino before I start my day shift at the hospital. And the first four coffee shops I look at are closed. Not much has changed, eh? At least this Blenz was open. As for the coffee, what can I say? At least it 's not S ucks. Cappucino kinda weak, tasted a little paper y from the cup it 's in, I chose 'Dry ' from the options the baristo offered me but it still had more foam than an Australian 'flat white. ' They heated my chocolate croissant, which was nice, but they did it in a microwave, which makes the pastry tough. Ah well, until I get my coffee set up functioning again at home, I appreciate your early hours, Blenz.
After I left the Vancouver General Hospital, I decided I needed a caffine boost. I never tried Blenz coffee (I know, I live in Vancouver but never had Blenz... , there is one just across the street on Broadway. It is very nice and cozy. The coffee shop itself is very small, but it is cozy. There are a few couch seats, and a few seats that are elevated (I am not sure what they are called... . then a line of couch and chairs in front of the coffee counter. I ordered a regular Americano and had them put it in a large cup. The taste is pretty average and the price was fair too (in comparison with Starbucks . The washroom at this coffee shop is pretty interesting, they have 2 door handles on the washroom door. I am not sure why they would need two because only the top one works, and the bottom one I guess used to work... Thinking of it, it would be cheaper to leave the old handle there and confuse the daylights out of people than to fill it up and put in a new handle in the location of t
I like the atmosphere at this location. It’s just really cozy and quiet, even when there’s people inside. Great place to study or just relax on a miserable/REALLY cold day!
Best Blenz Coffee I have been to so far. Very friendly service, drinks are tasty especially their chocolate drinks.
Dahlia, was absolutely fantastic! Even though I came right before closing (my bad for not checking) she was super willing to help get my coffees and food. I had walked over from the hospital and her kindness really helped get me through the day!!!
