We went there for an improvised taste, everything was perfect. The atmosphere, service and waffles a delight .... So we went back there the next afternoon!

Excellent experience. An excellent welcome by very kind people always smiling and joyful. The atmosphere is family and friendly. Little care for us. The piece of beef with tenderness, the burgers with reblochon made the children's pleasure. And fries it seems to me cooked with beef fat are excellent. The generous quantities without being copied. An address to recommend you I will not be disappointed!

I'm writing a review in English because I think it will benefit tourists coming off the train at the station close by. If you're starving and just want a burger and a pint, this is the place to go. We were looking for that today and La Pause was just perfect for what we needed. It's a very typical alpine French bistro. Lovely atmosphere, obviously a popular place with the local people, and very welcoming. Excellent service from attentive staff, good food and a warm welcome. Highly recommended for a quick stop and a touch of real french hospitality. Also it's open when most restaurants have stopped serving food, so very convenient! The fries cooked in beef fat were particularly unhealthy and lovely
