Le Steak Frites St-Paul

Not very pleased with our last visit. Quality of food does not warrant the price they charge. Not a good value form our point of view

Steak Frite makes the best Steak As well a an awesome fry. Their appetizers are also very good. The ambiance is awesome

We had been a fan of this place for years but for a reason we dont recall, we stopped going about a year ago. Yesterday we got back to find an improved menu with higher prices (that could happen) but a greatly diminished service and food quality. Besides the owner worrying about our unopened bottle of wine (it is a bring your own wine place), our waitress showed up after what could be categorized a long wait (5-10 minutes) without a good evening. It took almost 45 minutes for our main course to arrive after threatening to leave due to the wait. The waitress argued we had not been there that long.(!!) . We could only witness other tables nearby finger tapping during the wait. The medium steak finally arrived rare and the burger was dried up. We were granted an appreciated 25% discount that we would have gladly traded against an enjoyable evening. No more....

This wasn't my first visit to a Steak Frites restaurant, but it was definitely a better experience. I loved the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food overall.
