Schlafly Bankside - Saint Charles

Bier selection was great. server was great. I was looking around to try to find their happy hour, and I couldn't find it published somewhere. I arrived at 5:15 a.m., just to say five that the happy hour ended. that seems a little early. Anyway, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. on a brioche back. the bungalow was huge, but the “serve” of pork hardly covered the bungalow. I guess I got a fourth to a third of what a normal grill pulled pork sandwich should be. we were with another couple, so I didn't send it back, but I wish I had it. definitiw not worth the money I paid for a “bread” sandwich.

The hostess was not friendly. when someone comes through the door, not hallo or welcome. when we left, I said thank you. the answer was no problem. not a thank you for coming, hope to see them again. filze more like a last for her working day.

Service and food subpar. we have dated our server three times. once for drinks, once for food and once to pay. no beverage refills. Eating was hardly warm and tasteless. the French dip was mostly broth, very little meat. would not recommend it at all. will not return.

We had a great dinner! it was very busy, but we sat the same and our server was great. Eat was great!

Delicious lunch at a reasonable price, it was very busy because of the Dickens Festival but great beer made the short wait worthwhile!
