Bidra med feedbackI was there right before it closed. The staff was breezy and charming and that was its main draw. P water? I didn't see any p water everything was clean and relaxing. I wish they hadn't been bought out
Seems like the Red Lobster on Almaden is permanently closed not temporarily as stated on here and their website. Signage on the door directs everyone to the Capitol/Aborn or Milpitas locations. The signage has been removed from the building too as of today. That said much like the now gone Chevys across the way, I remember when them and the Red Lobster here were always busy (complete with a wait to get a table) in their hey day. Toward the end neither had a wait and it was a walk in and get seated more or less, certainly odd given how Red Lobster was always packed as was Chevys. Need to see now what will rise in Red Lobsters place as it's on a prime spot along Almaden Expressway.
This is the first time I have eaten at this chain, I know they have been around a long time, but the place was old on the inside, the menu needs to be updated, and the menu that was given to me, had food stuck to it.... The prices were good, but the selection was not that great. Everything had shrimp with it, and they even ran out of popcorn shrimp.....If I want seafood, I think I will go to another place......
The restaurant was freezing, the service was ultra slow, the wait person made at least two mistakes, the coleslaw was tasteless, the Walt's shrimp were soggy on the bottom. I informed my husband that his birthday dinner next year is gonna have to be somewhere else!
Normally our dinners here are great. Last night's- not so much. Baked potato was smothered in sour cream, when my husband specifically stated butter only. Clam strips were too “bready” and greasy. My broiled scallops were swimming in butter. We had no fault with the server.
