We visited this restaurant based on reviews on trip advisor and also because there were very few restaurants in that area of sagres. It had been suggested to us to try the local Arroz Tamboril- a rice and fish casserole. It was absolutely delicious. This one had monkfish as the base. The sauce was very tasty. We had starters o 2 mixed salads and a bottle of portugese Green Wine and a bottle of water. Bill came to 48€. Excellent value for a tasty filling meal. We were given a liqueur on the house with our bill which was a nice touch.
I ate Dourada and gf fried Squids. Mine was really fresh and good. With vegetables and boiled potatoes. The squids come with french fries and rice. The fries were not fresh. That's the only thing I thought it could be better. The fish was wonderful and the squids too. The price isn't cheap but not expensive. Great place if you are in Sagres and want to eat fresh fish.
A family run restaurant in Sagres, we went on a quiet Wednesday night. The food was outstanding and the place had an easy, laid back atmosphere with a professional kitchen feeling to it.
We were the first in but by the time we left. It was full. Father waits, mother cooks and 2 girls are looked after by the sister in law. It advertised barnacles so we said that we had never had them so we were given a good sample to try. Fish soup and sardines were great and the house wine was fine. A gratis liqueur rounded off a lovely evening.
