Bidra med feedbackI liked the food but I didn’t love it. I had a French dip sandwich. One thing I didn’t like is that every order goes out on a plastic bag. I get it, there is a lot of to go orders, but I was eating at the cafe and my food was given in two plastic bags even though it could all fit in one. I would have preferred being served on a food tray.
I ordered a 4-inch grilled cheese sandwich. As you can see from the photo, the cheese is not grilled. It's not even warm. Also, this somehow cost me $11? For a tiny sandwich with no drink or chips or anything on the side? Charging $11 for bread, cheese, and a slice of tomato seems unconscionable to me. The bread was yummy, but this was so not worth it.
I wish I could give it no stars but I will say one bad apple definitely spoils the bunch. They need to get rid of one employee who appears to be the manager. Joanne is very rude and racist. I see how she greets different people and it’s crazy how she is still employed here I travel 5 times a week with Amtrak and will never return to this store as long as she is employed. She is disrespectful to the bus drivers as well.
Sourdough Co Valley Station is awesome! The place is cozy, the staff is super nice, and their sourdough bread is just so good. The menu has lots of tasty choices, and everything is made with high-quality ingredients. Definitely a must-try spot for sourdough lovers!
It is a great spot to grab food before traveling with Amtrak. I ordered a cracked pepper Turkey sandwich and a creamy tomato soup combo with small BBQ chips for the train. It only took a 5 min wait, after ordering, since the place is busy during lunch time. The soup is hot and tasted very savory. The sandwich had all the fixings (lettice, tomatoes, etc), and the house sauce compliments the turkey, so it didn't need mustard. Moving forward, I will definitely be grabbing a quick bite before my travels. Also, there is a door right into the station. So you don't miss announcements.Great bonus
