Went here for lunch at the recommendation of a local. has the kind of pasta where you take one bite and moan out of pleasure. food one may call sexy. irresistible. desirable.

Here visiting Sacramento for the first time to run a race and found this place as it was close to my hotel off the park. It’s on a charming little street with a few other places nearby. Sitting at the bar I met a couple that have been coming to this place for over 10 years. So far all signs good! My eyes landed on the pork fusilli dish. Asked the bartenders opinion and she had high praises. It was perfect. Typically pork dishes are on the heavier side for me but this was just right. The bread was toasted to the right crisp and the kick from the fusilli was spot on. Paired this with a couple of generous glasses of Cabernet. Service was busy as it was a Friday night but the staff was very warm, welcoming, and easy to chat with. They were having fun laughing with the clientele as I was pulling up a chair which I love to see. After eating and chatting with the other patrons at the small bar, it was easy to realize why the couple had been coming here for so long. It’s the kind of place you can easily make your go to date night or your Cheers. It’s fun, the foods was great, and it doesn’t break the bank. Definitely worth a visit. Seems like you might want to call ahead and reserve if possible on a Friday night. Fusilli, 2 wine glasses, and tip $50.
