Bidra med feedbackWhen we sat down at the table I wanted to get up and go again, but I didn't want to do that to my partner because actually we had made ourselves a little chic and wanted to spend a fun evening on the table was a tablecloth and above it a transparent plastic tablecloth ..!!!! ...we have not been able to bring out any food, as Amuse bouche we wanted a little thing: Schmalz , Geröstete bulb , 2 varieties spice butter, olives etc after 10 minutes we were already served the main dish, Wienerschnitzel vom Kalb , 2 cm thick, in oil again and the panad firmly on the meat
We had a meeting with the family and friends. We were also given the special menu with various dishes. Since there were also children, we also got the special children's card to choose. The smallest has then eaten at mama and papa.
Always varied actions, great steaks, seasonal map and always tasty and handcrafted well done, so the Valuta is hard at the border to the French Schöneck. Always worth a detour.
Located directly on the German-French border between Saarbrücken Gersweiler (Germany) and Schöneck (France), you will find the restaurant Valuta. There has been a gastronomy in the premises since 1899. Since 1979 the restaurant has been operated as a second-generation family business by Thomas Schütz. Valuta has established itself as one of the best restaurants in Saarland. This was also the reason to finally take the opportunity to visit Valuta. The ambience: Valuta makes a welcoming impression. Only and alone, the parking situation has some optimization potential. After entering the premises you feel right well. Pleasant warm shades and a simple but also stylish decor, invite you to stay. The friendly welcome by the service staff and the direct allocation of the reserved table proves that the guest is not only regarded as a paying recipient. The food: The menu is rather small and simple, but also shows a little exclusivity in the selection of ingredients. In addition to the dishes listed on the menu, there are still a few day recommendations that come from the selected sources of reference of the operator. Today, the Valuta still had a small number of Koteletts from the countryside pig from the region or even well-hanged entre Côte from the Argentinian Black Angus Rind. I chose the Black Angus. That was a very good decision. I got a perfectly medium rare prepared entre Côte on a whisky pepper sauce. Here a top Islay whisky was used that perfectly supported with its smokeiness, the grill roast flavors of the meat. Service: The service was more than appropriate for the category of restaurant. Adjectives like competent, friendly, always there when needed, never intrusive, ... are just a few points to be highlighted here. Here you can also see that a clear structure is in the service landscape. The assignment of service personnel to areas and tables leaves no reason for complaints even when there is a high number of guests. Beverages: The service staff was very well trained in advising the wine tastings for the dishes. Conclusion: A top address for a special culinary experience. Thanks to Thomas Schütz and his team! I will definitely be back here.
Very nice and available staff, simple and very good traditional food. Correct prices. I recommend.
