Bidra med feedbackThe style and the decoration of the restaurant is one thing, but the quality of the food and service is excellent. Very interesting choice of wines, even local ones, and available by glass. It'll be 20 years that the chef Markus Schwedt, is in charge...in kitchen. I will be back.
We had fish and veal with a small salad. It was nicely presented and served with a smile. Vegetables were plentiful and served with a lot of flair.
We stayed and ate lunch here after long day/night traveling from USA. They do have a English Menu but that did not include daily specials. The staff appear to be the same hard working people from lunch am breakfast 2/17/17. For Lunch we both...had daily special Lasagna. Which was quite good. We also each had a small glass of red wine to go with the dish. My husband finished his quickly as he was hungry and the waitress brought him another small dish with more. (He didn't really need more but that was very thoughtful). As they were good portions. The dining room was clean and it appeared the guest also dining for Lunch were all being promptly taken care of, as my observation at breakfast the next am. We were surprised at how quickly our food came out, at both visits. The morning breakfast buffet is set up and you help yourself. A male server asked if we would like any omelet or fried egg, scrambled egg breakfast. I requested omelet. It was quite good. Better than I was expecting. Cooked perfect. It was not huge, so not wasted. They had a good selection of yogurts, fresh fruits, breads, jams, three types of honey. Sausages. Soft boiled eggs, with noted you can request harder cooked eggs. Cheeses and meats, cereals, juices as well as waters. Neither of us felt we were missing anything. I enjoyed a hot pot of tea. There were a good selection of different types of tea. My husband is a coffee drinker and he enjoyed his coffee. Staff are very attentive and we both enjoyed both times we ate here. Much better than some other hotel restaurants, as we travel often we have tried a lot.
The mercenary city is certainly not a beauty from outside, but what they want from a building from the 70s or so. good architects were then poor. in the hotel can convince. spacious rooms, as in my case, have partial direct views of the saar. very friendly staff, unfortunately still no standard in all hotels, no matter where they came. only manko: the shower curtain with which I could put the bathroom under water. something like this should not be found in a 4* hotel, but this (foldable) partition. very nice too: I have a bottle of water free daily. the bed was very comfortable, the wlan fast. I can't say anything about breakfast because it's not breakfast in the hotel. everything in a hotel that you can really book quietly.
Well furnished mercenaries in the hearts of saaren bridges. to walk to the main railway station and all lay in the pedestrian zone to the old city are easy to reach. food recommended in restaurant. breakfast buffet rich. the bar (if occupied) should be stressed that, for example, a small cheese selection with grapes is also presented in a red wine. unfortunately, the prices in this chain always vary very much.
