Pomegranate - S San Diego

Adorable place, food was good except from the very very marbled lamb pieces. Service started off great but after our order was placed, who looked like was a buzzer helped us out a couple times but our waitress pretty much just abandonned us… Overall would be back for that yummy food and hope for better service

Pomegranate did not disappoint! Our group started with the Khachapuri, which was an awesome new dish to try. The beef stroganoff was delicious in all aspects, and the chicken shashlik (available on weekends) had an incredible marinade. The golubtsi is an Eastern European cuisine classic you can't go wrong with either. Our server was very knowledgeable and once you can find parking this place is worth it!

No parking and it's a problem #1 for this business. How come no one mentioned it? It was our 1st time, and we were not able to find a parking spot after cruising around for 35 minutes plus. After that, we ordered food to go and weren't happy to see that Adjaruli hachapuri's grease went through their pizza box and destroyed pants of the new customer. We ordered two Borschtes, and at their kitchen, they didn't close the lid properly, so it's spelled everywhere in the bag. In addition, when the host was taking our order, she didn't make sure what side to include with our Beefstroganov. So, instead of the mesh potato, they gave us macaroni pasta. Very, very unhappy with this bussiness, their food, staff and the parking situation. Parking: There's NO parking.

The experience tonight was awesome, food was great and extremely filling. Also our waiter was amazing his name is Eddie and my favorite thing about him was he remembered me from 4 years ago and started off the night sitting down with us and asking us what we would like to order like he was a part of the family made me feel like I was at home! Thank you again for the experience. Kid-friendliness: Eddie had wonderful recommendations for the kids in our party making dinner easy.

The food and service were great. They even brought a birthday cake for my wife. Highly recommend.
