Eddie V's Prime Seafood - S San Diego

Outstanding experience! We came for a birthday celebration Eddie V's did not disappoint! Starting with an amazing rooftop outdoor patio table overlooking La Jolla Cove, the views were spectacular! The table was decorated with confetti, a handwritten bday card complimentary champagne followed! Decadent cocktails started the night ... must try is the Hope Diamond a dazzling Grey Goise concoction poured at table over a flower infused ice cube that turns a stunning deeep purple on contact! The Petron Margarita was delish as well. Japanese oysters with three dipping sauces were delicate tasty. The steamed sea bass was spectacular laid on a bed of soy ginger spinach amazing! The shrimp entree was also wonderful! The evening was capped off with a flambéed bananas foster that was a beautiful way to culminate the evening! Service was attentive, knowledgeable helpful! Eddie V's La Jolla is a must!!

I had a beautiful dining experience, from the moment I arrived. I was given the table with the most gorgeous view of the cave and the ocean. A very romantic view for a solo diner! My waiter, Don, was incredibly attentive and made my experience even lovelier. The lobster bisque was delicious, as were the scallops, followed by a trio of yummy desserts. I highly, highly recommend!

I had been to Eddie V 's multiple times during my time living in San Diego in 2022. LOVED it. While I was visiting, I wanted to show my boyfriend why I love it! The experience was OK. We had a reservation, and ended up crammed in a high top in the corner with a partial ocean view a few tables away, absolutely no sunset view. I would expect better for a reservation. It seemed like they sat people in order of arriving to restaurant- reservation or not, best seat to worst. Our 715pm was too late for the good seats, I suppose. I had jumbo gulf shrimp- as delicious as I remember! My boyfriend has NY strip ordered medium, was more like rare. Sides of asparagus and truffle mac were yummy, just mac was a little lukewarm. Long wait for food as the cooking line was backed up they said. Just felt it didn 't compare to my previous impressive experience! Especially for the price. Our waitress was lovely. I cant remember her name, but she was from Wisconsin! Want her to have props.

We celebrated our anniversary and Eddie V's went out of their way to not only acknowledge it but also provide a complimentary champagne toast. Our server was so sweet and very attentive, food was great and of course the views were spectacular out on the patio. Thank you to Eddie V's for a perfect evening!

GREAT Views, good service, food was good. Had Filet Mignon it was good but i have definitely had better. Au Gratin potatoes were delicious. Truffle Mac was delicious. Service was OK it wasn't too busy at 430pm server was attentive at first but we waited a while to see server to get drinks/refills. I expected a little more promptness for a Upper priced establishment. Overall good.
