We chose this restaurant for a family gathering because of its convenient location and easy access. None of us were interested in golf, which the venue also offers. We had reserved a table for 12 and were seated upstairs with our own balcony. The restaurant itself was charming, the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the highlight of our visit was the food. Everyone in our group ordered something different, but we all agreed that the food was delicious and served in generous portions. We will definitely consider this restaurant for future family gatherings, not only for its convenient location but also for the excellent service and tasty food. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, as it is easy to find. Just be cautious of a speed bump near the entrance, as it is easy to miss but can be spotted by the rocks on the side of the road on your way out.

I visited this restaurant for a quick lunch a few times. The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. Because it was very hot outside, we chose to sit in a shaded area of the courtyard. We didn't feel rushed to leave even after we finished our meal.

The cafe and restaurant received several accolades in the local press so we went for Sunday lunch. It exceeded all expectations. The staff are very professional and very attentive. The meat was succulent and tender with the best selection of vegetables of any restaurant in the area plus delicious pan gravy. The chocolate brownie was perfection. And with the great views over Rutland Water it was a supreme Sunday lunch. We will be back.
