Warm welcome, friendly staff, food good although food from the bar menu was not presented as well as food from the restaurant. Chicken and chips was a very brown meal a bit of colour from a garnish might have been nice. Other than that the food was delicious, if a little pricey. Beer not kept as well as it could be. A service charge is added to the bill.
A group of friends and I stopped at The Three Tuns for a drink and lunch, after one of the village's monthly (fortnightly? markets run from the Three Tuns' car park. We had a table outside in the pub's superb and huge! garden, with excellently maintained flower boarders. There's plenty of room for children to play, and trees for shelter from the sun (although sunshine is a bit patchy this year! . It was table service for drinks and food, from a great menu. All dishes were fantastic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they had. A special call out for the cheese board, with some really interesting and tasty cheeses (a French cheddar was a surprise . I'm definitely looking forward to trying more items on their menu. Another nice touch was an itemised bill, split per person by default. Overall, I thoroughly recommend the Three Tuns: a lovely village pub well worth a visit.
