Reading the rather laudatory comments on the pastries, I decided to go there. The Paris-Brest: what a disappointment. Beyond the color of the cream which in no way resembles that of a classic Paris Brest, no taste and one wonders if the cake was of the day. I would like to buy from an artisan but I expect product quality. Cakes purchased from supermarkets are sometimes much better. I dare to hope that I had a bad day. On the Place de Royan, other pastries are much better. Too bad to have to leave such an unkind comment. The only positive point: the welcome and good humor of the waitresses.
