Bidra med feedbackThis is a classic Korean-Chinese restaurant. The menu is not very extensive but they specialize to the nth degree on every single item, most of them comfort food dishes. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. My suggestion, if you are into seafood and are up for something with a decent kick, is to go with their #1 item on the menu, spicy seafood noodle soup, aka Jjamppong. Another two must-try are their classic black bean noodle with diced veggies #6), aka Jajangmyeon, and their fried pork with sweet and sour sauce #16), aka Tangsuyuk. These seem deceptively simple dishes, but not many restaurants make them right like this one. They have several table condiments like vinegar, chili powder/sauce, salt, soy sauce, black pepper, etc. to make the dish suitable to your own taste. And every table gets complimentary yellow pickled Korean radish and kimchi, both of which were delicious, as well as hot barley tea upon request. The atmosphere was very cozy, inviting, and super clean, and the service was impeccable to say the least. One of the co-owners even came to check on us. We told her we drove from the Pasadena area because we saw the reviews. What'd she do? Well, she thanked us by giving us a coupon for a free black bean noodle dish! We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend in every way!
Totally love their seafood noodle soup!!Jamppong Noodles Sweet and Sour PorkThe fried rice is alright tho
I rarely write reviews, but Kyodong Noodle has truly earned a shout out for their exceptional Jjamppong. As someone who hails from Korea, finding authentic Korean flavors can be a challenge. But this place? A real gem! Their Jjamppong is not just good; it's the best I've tasted since leaving Korea. The broth is where the magic happens. It's savory, packed with deep flavors, yet remarkably clean. Unlike many other places, their broth isn't oily or heavy it's a perfect balance that leaves you wanting more. And that's exactly what happened to me; I found myself coming back two days in a row with my wife just to savor that delightful dish again. But it's not just the food that makes Kyodong Noodle stand out. The service is top notch. The two sister owners who run the place add a personal touch that's hard to find. They serve each customer with such genuine care and kindness that you feel like a guest in their home. The amazing experience with their Jjamppong has left me eagerly looking forward to trying the rest of the items on the menu. If you're craving authentic Jjamppong that reminds you of Korea, or if you're simply looking for a delicious, heartwarming meal, Kyodong Noodle is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
The japchae rice is listed as meat-free, but it contains pork... I can't eat pork, but I ordered it after looking at the menu and ruined my lunch for the day. I called the restaurant and they said they added beef and pork as well. I always ask what's in it and if I should order it... I just don't want to go.
The menu is simple, but Jjajang Jjamppong is the best in this neighborhood ?.
