The Coach House - Roundwood

All are very friendly and Helen is the Star of Roundwood! She does the best Coffee and gave us hints where to go!

It was just ok. There is really no reason for the higher price of €150/room. There is no reception, the rooms are small and awkward, bathroom is ok. The pricing vs what you get is off.

Thrilled with our spontaneous visit to The Coach House! Simon and Monique, the owners, went above and beyond to accommodate us, offering a cozy table by the wood-burning stove. The complimentary treats – roasted salted almonds, fresh Sourdough with handmade butter, and a delightful feta cheese and parsnip chips spread – set the tone. The service was impeccable, and my meal, featuring a vibrant beetroot and whipped goats cheese salad, buttery mash with real jus gravy, and hand-cut organic chips, was excellent. A truly five-star experience!

What a lucky find. The new owners have impeccable taste in design, staffing and quality service. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We received a friendly and warm reception as we raced in just before the kitchen closed. The complimentary olives, fresh sour dough and mixed nuts were perfect with the best mulled wine I've ever tasted. A perfect spot after exploring the Wicklow Hills.
