Bidra med feedbackWe ordered takeout tonight from a restaurant in Thurcroft and were extremely pleased with the food. The chicken korma had a generous amount of meat and the mixed starter was delicious. We will definitely be ordering from there again.
Positives.. parking was very easy on street, good customer services, and access readily available just off the M18 through Maltby. Negatives the food was tasty and the first time I have ever seen a chicken tikka sandwich partially filled with pieces and then the rest made up of french fries!! The other parts of the meal weren't equally as laughable, but again werent the best. Do yourself a favour and go to Dinngton
We used to be loyal customers of Zafrans for years, but unfortunately, the quality has drastically declined. The way they speak to you is disrespectful. We ordered two Madras dishes and a curry with sundries, but the Madras was supposed to have chicken in it and there were only a few shredded pieces. This had happened before and when we called to explain, they resent the order. We stopped ordering from them for a while, but decided to give them another chance. This was a big mistake, as the problem was worse this time. When we called to complain, the staff member was extremely rude and told us he didn’t care. The customer service is terrible, and it’s no surprise that people are choosing not to go there. We will never order from Zafrans again.
This Indian takeaway used to be the best in the area, unbeatable by any others. However, I am shocked by how much it has declined. The delivery took forever and the quality of the food was terrible. I would recommend avoiding Zafrans, even if it was the only option available in the village. Absolutely terrible.
Recently picked up food and was instantly 'welcomed ' by a grumpy-faced man who looked as if he would rather be anywhere but there. Explained I was there to pick up my food and he, sounding very irked, remarked how I was too early and how I should have arrived nearer collection time when I was a mere 10 minutes ahead of usual. Shortly after he returned with my food, so was content. Then came the food! • FISH MASALA STARTER: Was anything but fish masala! Was merely deep fried fish, no sauce, with chips. AVOID. • MUSHROOM RICE: FULL OF BITS! To the point that I could not eat it without nearly choking. Was not specified that it was merely pilau rice with bits of mushroom. Mushroom inside was cold, rice itself hard and inedible. I am not usually fussy but this put me off to begin with! Could not eat it. No mushroom flavouring to rice like usual mushroom rice. Poor all round. • BIRYANI: SAME AS THE RICE! TERRIBLE, meat had foul texture! Usually the one dish you can 't go wrong with.. sauce tasted like gone-off vegetable purée. Avoid at all costs. • PLAIN NAAN BREAD: Tasted stale, unlike any naan bread I have ever tried. If I had to liken the taste to anything it would be the smell of an old persons ' home! And that would be an understatement. Never again. • CHEESE NAAN BREAD: Surprisingly nice, good quality, just like everywhere else I have tried. Very good. Perhaps the only food on their menu I would advise trying. • DANSAK: OVERLY GREASY, NON-FLAVOURSOME, also had a musky taste! This was like a poor ready meal rip off.. gone wrong! Meat had foul texture.. gagged on first mouthful. Simply unbelievable. IN WHOLE: The only edible part was the fried fish which was supposed to be fish masala, and the cheese naan. Would never recommend this place to any diners. WASTED £26+.. please do not waste your money on this, unless you have very unique tastes. Have tried many Indians, even poorly rated ones have never brought me to be disgusted afterwards — never had any food anywhere that has turned me sick.. not to mention that I felt very uncomfortable stopping in the area that this was situated in, people were going past fighting in middle of the road and looking in public skips for items to take. Never let surroundings affect my view of a place, but the food quality and customer service here was just SHOCKING.
