Bidra med feedbackWe stayed at the Kings Head for two nights with our son and daughter-in-law. We stayed in the Barn Conversion, which was lovely. The staff were very friendly, especially on our first morning when Gaye and Chris served us breakfast. They were very hospitable, with Gaye's sense of humor making the breakfast experience very enjoyable.
I stopped by this restaurant with some friends to have a few drinks after noticing the renovations made to the outdoor area. While the outside space was nice, I was disappointed by the poor customer service, especially from a rude and unprofessional bartender. It's a shame because the pub has the potential to be great, but unfriendly staff is unacceptable, especially when there weren't many customers around. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly and relaxed environment.
I have never felt more unwelcome than I did at this pub! It is clear that they have their favorites, which is not ideal when you are spending £150 on drinks and cocktails. The highlight of the night was when my friends and I went outside for a smoke and were then refused entry back in for no apparent reason. They wouldn't even let us take the drinks we had just ordered, which is completely unacceptable. There is one employee in particular who should not be working in the hospitality industry - he is the rudest person I have ever encountered. Additionally, I would suggest addressing the unpleasant smell in the pub, unless you enjoy the aroma of toilets permeating every room. Now I understand why it is quiet every night.
Wow, if you want a relaxing afternoon drink in very pleasant surroundings then you wont be disappointed, the Kings head team have transformed the outside area into a spectacular drinking and eating area, first class service and the pizza bar is a triumph very tasty, the beer is spot on and the cocktails are a hit with the wife. Social distance has been kept to the rules but you wouldn't notice it, is it worth a visit a big YES.
We popped in for a drink and dinner on a Monday night. Firstly we were disappointed that we were not allowed to eat in the garden in the sun due to their policy. So we had to eat in the cold pub I even had to go and get my coat). We ordered and none of us liked our meals. I had a sirloin, it was overcooked I asked for medium rare, it was medium to well done), the chips were soggy, no salad with it as advertised. My partner had a burger, was ok but the bun was very dry. My father in law had fish and chips, he liked the fish but same issue as me with the chips. One waitress was a bit rude when we asked about the missing salad when she brought it out to us she banged it down on the table and walked off without asking if everything was ok. Steak was £21, I would have only paid £10 max if I had to rate it. Waste of money and what should have been a lovely meal. We won’t be returning.
