Bidra med feedbackWe ate yesterday (April 30th) expecting to enjoy a good quality meal with some good flavor. We left disappointed. Menu The choices on the menu are good on paper, the desert section is blank though, so a rather strange choice. Table and Decor Nothing meaningful has changed from the previous restaurant (a Spanish theme) so the interior feels like it needs a deep clean and some thought applied on what Olive and Coal wants to be. Drinks only one choice of larger on tap, Cocktails largely missing alcohol and flair. Management could solve this easy if they took time to figure out how to make drinks. Food Here was the big issue. Humus lacked flavor, the fresh flat bread tasted shop bought. The falafel was the WORST I every tried. DRY, HARD on a bed of iceberg. No sauce or spicy garnish. Again bland supermarket approach. Fish course was cooked well but sides and garnish was lacking. Kebab (both chicken and lamb cooked ok) but the salad and sides were over cooked (if meant to be hot) or almost frozen. Management need to talk to the chef and figure out if they have someone who knows how to cook for the menu. Service Sorry but this was hit and miss, when they were there quite friendly but ZERO attention to detail. Table needed to be cleaned properly, had to ask for utensils, napkins, condiments..each one a separate request. My impression is overall that the food come direct from the freezer to the plate, via and oven that is set too high. I cannot see Olive and Coal lasting long. Sorry! If management can sort out the f&B quality and get a handle perhaps there is hope.
Amazing food, lovely sitting out in the sun. Service was quick and friendly. I had the prawn main and my husband chicken shish. Large portions, clearly very fresh with homemade dips. The complementary bread was warm and delicious, the wine was cold and crisp. Top notch!
The food was absolutely amazing with lovely staff. The kebab wasn’t greasy at all! And super yummy! Recommend the homemade lamb donner! Especially with the garlic Mayo! The deserts were also amazing!! Portions were very fillings. The music was good and an overall lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be retuning!! 10/10!!
Best food ever .. We have prawn as starter .. lamb Shish which is so nice with bulgur rice and salad .. my mum have a vegetable shish which we swap the rice for chips and the rest of the food is is tasteful ..will definitely come back ..
Well we got here as a family of 6 for mother's day. It all started very well, lovely friendly staff, can't say that for what we think was the owner/manager! Two of us ordered King prawns for our mains and omg I have never seen such charcoaled prawns in my life, they were tasteless and very very dry, and to add to it the chef had left the poo tube in all the prawns yuk yuk yuk. We complained and they offered to change it, but we both received the same again!!! So we complained again and the manager/owner told us the prawns are cooked like that to give them taste!! What a load of rubbish. Needless to say we didn't pay for two mains. I have to say though our waitress was lovely and couldn't do enough for us, shame I can't say that about the manager/owner as she literally disappeared!! Shocking! We won't be going back.
