Zur Holl - Mittelalterliche Trinkstube

This was our first meal in Germany and we were delighted by this restaurant and the attention to service. The owner came to visit us in our private room with the bellows too. The food was soooooo good. Great dumplings with chantrelle mushrooms, chantrelle soup...was creamy and delicious, and all of our meals were supurb. You get served a lot of food. Those who ordered sausages and dumplings were brought 1 sausage and 1 dumpling. When they thought they were done, they realized their other half of their meal was being kept warm for them. We left there incredible full of food and a delightful experience that we will remember for a very long time.

I have spent many many tomes here Dieter and hIf you want to catch a glimps of the Nightwatchman, He stops by every night between his tours of Rothenburg, usually stops between 9 and 9;30

What a lovely restaurant in a legitimately very old building with stone walls, wooden beams, unique decor. Our meals and wines were excellent, the menu selection is full of good choices. Service was excellent, with bits of humor thrown about regarding the Devil and Hell....: We ate inside because it was November, and would like to try eating in their great looking outdoor area when we're there in better weather. Highly Recommend!

Andato seguendo le recensioni di trip, che però omettono a mia avviso qualcosa, almeno per noi italiani.Per quanto riguarda la cucina, la stessa è ottima, prodotti freschi e ben cucinati, ma ci sono dei nei che non mi faranno mai ritornare in questo posto:- la prenotazione è ambigua, mentre eravamo dentro entravano degli avventori e veniva mandati fuori, anche se i tavoli erano liberi, mentre orientali e russi trovavano posto anche senza prenotare.- il menù è di sole 6/7 portare tra zuppe, antipasti e secondo, praticamente zero scelta. Ma non è del tutto vero in quanto c'è una voce nella lista, "piatto della casa" che non ha prezzo e che in realtà ti da altre 7/8 scelte di cibi diversi, peccato che il conto alla fine viene fuori salatissimo se ovviamente si scelgono questi piatti senza prezzo, leggete anche altri commenti sotto in merito a questo argomento.- in ultimo guardacaso non accettano carte di credito e non rilasciano ricevuta, semplicemente per poter sfilare più mancia possibili a tutti i clienti.Cibo buono, locale molto bello, ma non ci ritornerei mai.
