Coquetvale - Rothbury

Took our booking despite having closed the hotel. Nice surprise when we arrived in the evening! Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1

Staff was asleep on the settee when we turned up, no glasses in rooms, restaurant shut, NO cooked breakfast in the morning. But clearly shows a cooked breakfast on the website, definitely not staying here again for the price they are charging Rooms: Poor value Food drinks: None in hotel Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 4

Sadly a place in desperate need of investment. Slight damp smell in the entrance. No one around in the morning to prepare or serve breakfast Rooms: 2 Location: 3

We loved our 2 nights at Coquetvale. Christine was so very friendly, helpful and no request was too difficult for her. She made us Aussies feel at home. We had dinner there on both nights and breakfast too. Excellent service and great food. We'd love to come back again.
