The Jolly Sailor - Rossendale

Only been once before tonight, such a friendly venue, was shocked how well priced the drinks were, such good value. The team who work here are just brilliant, service fantastic, made to feel really welcome, Thankyou! I really wish this was my local but it’s not… however I can’t wait to visit again! Absolutely recommend this pub. Thanks for your hospitality it’s very very good!

The food is as described in all the previous recent reviews so I can only say the same applies from me and my family who are very local and we are very fussy what we praise food wise. So please keep it up given the problems hospitality is going through presently, I can only think when this is all over and you are still doing the same level of food and service it will be brilliant to have something like this on our doorstep and can only benefit Waterfoot as a whole going forwards BTW beer was good as well and the level of service.

We called into the jolly sailor yesterday evening and decided to stop and eat, we definitely wasn't disappointed. The black pudding scotch egg was perfect as a starter and then we went on to have the burger and bubble and squeak with smoked haddock and dippy poached egg, WOW it was all amazing, if your out and about and want to eat great food in a friendly atmosphere you won't go far wrong with the jolly sailor.

We had heard about the new chef at this restaurant, who came from one of our favorite pubs that had recently closed down, and we couldn't wait to try it out. The food was fantastic, fresh, and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. The black pudding scotch egg was absolutely amazing! The renovation work put into the restaurant was evident, and we especially enjoyed the lovely beer garden. We could see the kitchen through the spotless window. The owners were very friendly, as was the waitress. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Stopped for lunch here and was delighted by the wonderful food and friendly atmosphere. Staff were extremely attentive and would highly recommend the prawn curry!
