Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant was recommended to us by a good friend who eats here regularly with his family and friends. We booked it for our daughters birthday dinner with 17 of us. We wanted to try it before booking but it was closed for lunch when we went on the Wednesday albeit it is open on a Wednesday evening, closed all day Tuesday but open the rest of the week for lunch and dinner. Although it was closed on our trial visit the staff were inside the restaurant. When we told them we wanted to book for a dinner party, we were welcomed in by the owner Michele. We sat around a table to choose the various courses we wanted with lots of suggestions from Michele. After choosing our menu, we reserved the table for the following Thursday. Michele gave us his number incase we wanted to add or deduct the amount of guests that were invited. We had a local aperitivi on arrival with nibbles until everyone arrived. Italians are notoriously late so we always tell our family and friends that the table is booked an hour earlier than it is! Once everyone arrived the vino rosso and vino bianco, natural water, sparkling water was replaced as soon as each bottle was finished. The service was incredible despite the restaurant being full. First course was plated with various local seafood, octopus, squid, prawns, salads etc. Followed by 2 different fish pasta. The one with aubergines was to die for. The second pasta was very good but a little too salty for my palate. This restaurant is also famous for its pizza the home made bread was absolutely excellent so we will definitely return to sample their pizza. The next course was a selection of plated swordfish, shelled king prawns that were enormous and several other local fish baked in oven. We had brought our own birthday cake for dessert but could have included a dessert and/or muse bouche sorbet in our menu but glad we didn't because the each portion of each course was extremely generous even for the big eaters in our company. All the women in our party are amazing cooks, bakers and bread makers so they are harsh critic. Everyone of us spoke highly of the excellent food quality, excellent portion sizes, excellent service and that warm home made bread was delicious. I want the recipe! We also had prosecco to toast the birthday girl after the cake. It is traditional to open your gifts at the end of the meal in front of your guests so that you can thank everyone individually. We told our friends and family that presents weren't necessary BUT........our celebrations lasted long after the other diners had gone home but this was not a problem for the staff who reassured us that we were more than welcome. This restaurant has a beautiful outdoor garden if you choose to eat alfresco and the inside is big to accommodate the many locals who eat here. It is next to the local train station just off a busy main road in a working town BUT the road noise is not an issue and can't be heard much at all. If you want affordable fine dining with home made local cuisine at an affordable price or the best bread/pizza in town with attentive, courteous staff and excellent quick service this is the place to be. I lost count of the amount of vino we had because we didn't pay by the bottle, it was part of the deal. When a bottle was empty, it was replaced. Same with the water. Our menu cost us 30 euro per head which was excellent value for money. A huge THANKYOU RINGRAZIE to Michele and all the staff for making our dining experience a memorable one. We will be back. Infact we wanted to go for pizza tonight but remembered it is closed on a Tuesday so we will definitely be going to the Terminal tomorrow for pizza.
We arrived in our appartment close to Rosolini and just quickly wanted to eat something closeby on a Monday evening. The owner recommended another Pizzaria that was closed and came up with this alternative. Looks horrible from the outside as well as the inside but the pizza was ok-ish. Not worth another visit but good enough after a long day of travelling.
While looking for the perfect spot to have Saturdaynight diner, almost everything was fully booked. “Luckily” we could find a table at Terminal. Afterwards, we could understand the reason why. It was something special.... Crowded, hectic, not very friendly staff (too chaotic , missing a served drink, vibe and atmosphere were kind of strange and the food lets say... it probably depends on what you choose. The French fries are perfect and a good alternative for a less perfect pizza;
I'm a Sicilian/Italian girl and I have to say this is the best ravioli I have ever eaten in my life! The pasta was fresh made, the sauce was perfect and the local wine set the whole meal off. We went at lunch time when it was slower and had a wonderful experience.
Went on a Sunday night and it took over an hour to serve us just a pizza. The waiters were hassled and stressed. Pizza was ok at the end but it took forever and we finally ate at 23:30. House wine is not recommendable.
