Good Italian food with great service. Though there was an initial 20+ minutes wait despite having a reservation their service afterwards made up for it.

Fantastic! Much attention is given throughout the meal. The staff continues to keep table cleared between courses. Great family style. 3 Large groups of about 20 each sat nearby as we were eating. It made it difficult to hear our group of 4 guests.

My son came down from Westchester and we both wanted Italian! I knew he has never been to 388, and it's the only restaurant I know of that always has whole wheat linguini along with whole wheat penne. Everyone else always has only whole wheat penne. I prefer spaghetti and linguini, so it was the perfect choice! Our waiter was kind enough to give me two different Cabs to taste, and I loved the BV Cab...first time I've had it and will certainly have it again. We ate like royalty, and everything was so delicious!!! The staff couldn't have been more accomodating, rectifying an error in my order, and offering my son a glass of wine to make up for it (which he enjoyed), as well as after dinner drinks, we graciously declined. All in all, it was a great evening!

Food and service always impeccable. Portions are huge and of very high quality. The restaurant is very busy but they manage to get the food to the table in a very timely manner. Jonathan was our waiter last night and he was terrific, he was engaging and knowledgeable and even though he was very busy he always made sure we had clean plates and he served all 3 courses. Very enjoyable evening with friends.

Food was excellent but it’s family style. Waiters said they will assist the portions and brought (2) of every single thing I ordered. I wanted 1 of each order. It was enough for an army and we ended up throwing half out. The bill was enormous because they brought way too much. Very scammy waiters and in bad faith.
