Five Roses Pub - Rosemont

The only thing that I actually enjoyed eating from my dinner last night was the ginger chili chicken tenders. I ordered a Reuben sandwich… there was more sauerkraut than actual corn beef, my husband ordered the Rosemont burger and he said the burger wasn’t even seasoned, and for our appetizer the Irish Nachos were soggy. It’s like if they put the pulled pork with the cheese sauce and just dumped it on top not very tasty. A little too pricey for my liking for an Irish pub but it was the city so I guess they got a jack up the prices somehow but at least make the food worth it.

The space is overall pretty cool, and I bet even moreso when there is live music playing. I wish my shepherds pie had more flavor, it definitely needed something to which salt and hot sauce did not help.

New Years Eve 2021-2022This was possibly the WORST experience I've ever had at a bar.The event cost about $45 for entry, appetizers, and a champagne toast for the countdown. Totally reasonable cost for what was given, or so we thought.However, when we arrived at the restaurant there were no appetizers to be found. I looked around at all of the tables and nobody had food. There was no signage or instructions on how to get any food and none of the staff seemed to be able to show any of us in the group where to get the appetizers we paid for.Throughout the night, we could tell clearly that the bartenders were extremely intoxicated. 75% of the drinks we ordered came out wrong, and that's after waiting 20-30 minutes to get service. I understand that many places are understaffed, but this was terrible.About halfway through the night, the women's restroom started to flood. Dirty water flooded the restroom up to our ankles and seeped into the men's room as well as the dance floor. They told us the women's restroom was out of service and directed us to go to the bar next door if we needed to use the restroom. We checked with the next three bars over, who told us we could not get in or we needed to pay their $35 cover charge.At midnight, again there was no announcement or signage about getting the champagne we were promised.Overall, this was the most disappointing experience I've had. I was looking forward to the festivities for the new year and instead received poor service at a terribly managed bar. I would not recommend going here.

Went here for New Years, had a terrible experience. Spent 45$ just to get no food or appetizers although they advertised it. The bartenders were highly intoxicated, and couldn’t even serve the right drinks to the people that ordered them. Then the bathroom started to flood and the bar said we had to go elsewhere if we needed to use the restroom, although the other bars were going to charge 30$ just to get in. I understand being understaffed, but it was very disappointing considering we spent money to receive no actual food or champagne as promised. Just poor service overall.

Terrible New Years Eve experience. Paid $45 entry fee for no appetizers, champagne at midnight, or party favors which was advertised on website. All staff members poorly communicated and were obviously intoxicated while serving us our drinks. No drinks were made right. No management staff around to speak too. Halfway into the night the bathrooms flooded and resulted in there being no public restrooms available for guests to use. Staff told us to go somewhere else to use the restroom and all other bars wouldn’t allow us in without paying their $30 cover fee. Very disappointed and disgusted with this establishment. I do not recommend.
