Bidra med feedbackFor a hole in the wall, out of the beaten path, no name bbq place it was really good. Good service (friendly small town vibe). We had a loaded baked potato and a BBQ sandwich. Meat was moist and tasteful, but the bbq sauce was different. Almost tasted as if it had a strong presence of maple syrup. Not bad, just not what I expected.
Jake never disappoints! Always good, inexpensive meals. Beats the heck from the DQ just a few blocks away!!
The grilled chicken salad we had for lunch was great!!
Quaint, authentic, local place in the back of an antique store! I had a hamburger (ate a lot of my fries before I took the pic : ...the portions are hearty. My friend had the chicken fried hamburger which was unique and tasty. The prices are reasonable. Everything is made to order by the former Marine, BBQ champ, Jake. He's low key, cool and witty. His daughter manages the antique store and they are delightful. Places like this are hard to come by. Definitely worth the drive for the whole experience! Note: 1. Not ideal for those watching their waistlines or vegetarian. 2. Cash only. 3. Wheelchair entrance, but bathrooms are not accessible. 4. Highchairs available.
Doesn 't matter what you get, it 's all fantastic. From the burgers with chicken fried cheese to steak fingers to the home made fries and mashed potatoes. Don 't miss out on this small town hidden gem.
