Bidra med feedbackWe went to this restaurant quite often before Covid and always came away satisfied with the service, quality of food and price within reason. Went back after Covid, the experience diminished appreciably, especially with the food. The menu got much smaller and the prices went up with the quality of preparation went down. Neighbours called, lets give them another chance. Nope, same experience, definitely, not what the upscale surroundings would indicate. If your after value, there are a lot of restaurants in this area that will provide better food for 1/2 the price. Definitely not what this place was before Covid.
Went here for my husband's birthday dinner. Delicious and gorgeous view. Sat outside. Husband had the blackened walleye,I had the shrimp and scallops pasta. Ingredients so fresh. The tuxedo cake dessert was sinfully delicious!
We are weekender’s.... and come up pretty much every weekend and we’re always looking for different places to eat. Not many really nice restaurants in the area so upon a friend’s recommendation we decided to give the place a try with my sister and her husband. The clubhouse and the grounds look impressive as you’re driving up. We were seated promptly in the dining area with a wonderful view of the course. Interior is nice but, not fancy. Wait staff was very friendly and efficient. After reviewing the menu, we were ready the place our order. Food arrived in a timely manor. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the Fish and Chips. The other members of our party had Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and the Walleye. Everything was average at best. Ribeye was just plain tasteless, the Alfredo sauce was terrible and the chicken was over cooked. The Fish and Chips were OK, but didn’t stand out. According to my brother in law the Walleye was good but not great. Bottom line food was OK but it certainly didn’t stand out especially for want they charged. Ribeye was $32 and the Fish and Chips were $16...and to be honest you can get the same meal for half that price but with much better taste at a few other bar/restaurants in the area. In all fairness, I wasn’t expecting the Capital Grille and I have no issues paying for a good meal but this really fell short.
Was a great place to work and the food was better then most places that charge the same price for.
Eight of us had dinner 7/27/2021. Three of us had the blackened salmon. It must have been in the oven for at least 8 hours. It could not have been worse. Three of us had chicken and it was so dry you weren't sure what you were eating. Two had ribs and apparently they were put in the oven the same time as the salmon. None of the eight finished their dinner. If you want much better food I would suggest Burger King or Wendy's. If you want really good food, go to Rays BBQ in Grayling. I eat a lot of brisket, and it was about the best I have ever had! If you insist on eating at Forest Dunes, order hard bread. It will be better than anything else and they shouldn't be able to screw it up. Jim E Fort Myers, Fl.
