Bidra med feedbackGood and one of the waitress was lovely we had entocote steak. The blonde older waitress was very rude and dismissive and told her colleague we can wait as we were tourists while she greeted French locals who were stood behind us. We sat upstairs lovely window seat and the food was good as was the dark haired waitress but the rudeness and ignorance of the other waitress spoilt the evening.
What a disappointment. We were looking forward to eating here again as we had visited before. We reserved a table during the afternoon so that we were seated in the upstairs restaurant area rather than the bar. Our waitress was very dismissive of us even though we tried to communicate in our best French better than schoolgirl French but not fluent). We didn’t get told what the specials were and only realised this when we heard the same waitress tell a French couple what was on offer. I ordered the carpaccio de beouf and the magret de canard. My beef was frozen although it thawed out quite quickly on my plate. There was no opportunity to tell the waitress of my problem as the place was busy and we were ignored. My duck was even more disappointing. It was over cooked and tough. I was expecting slightly blush duck but this was tight and grey. My husband had a reasonable steak which was cooked well but the cut was definitely sub standard. Our cafe gourmand desert was good but we won’t be returning here with so many other lovely places to eat in Roscoff
When you walk by this place it is on a busy corner with a sign that talks about burgers and other tourist like food. Do not be deceived. Walk in and go upstairs. You will find a beautiful view of the harbor that you can see from your table. Order the plate of the day. You will have a plate served that has a fresh fish, seasoned mash potatoes and lettuce. It is a perfect plate. Just the right size and satisfying. Order dessert from the ice cream fountain. In summary leave the tourists downstairs and go upstairs where the locals hang out.
Lunch with family on the occasion of our visit to the roscoff. super welcome from the boss then a very good service throughout the meal. we took the dish of the day merlu with white butter with a crushed potato that was very good. The Breton tiramisu was very good too. view of the port of the bedroom on the 1st floor was very pleasant. bravo to the whole team we spent a very good time recommending without hesitation
Very good restaurant tastefully decorated, a very smiling welcome, everything is homemade, quality meat, potatoes in the oven with this extraordinary chives sauce and dessert a cream burnt to fall. I recommend!
