I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience at La Pink the first time I visited. My husband and I had the best night, from the ambiance to the food to the people, everything was phenomenal! I will definitely be returning to La Pink, it has become my new favorite place. A big thank you to Chef Greg for the amazing meal and for making us feel so welcome. Also, our waitress Lisa was fantastic!
Bitter Essence is a concentrated bitter wine that is popular in Trinidad and Tobago. It is made with water, alcohol, gentian root, and various plant extracts. Those who enjoy its unique aroma may find it slightly reminiscent of bubble gum, giving it an aromatic bitterness overall. I tried the Ananas Cocose Milk, which was served in a skull-shaped cup in honor of the Mexican Day of the Dead. It was both intriguing and delicious. For an appetizer, we ordered Tortilla Dipping Sauce, which came with a warm cheese sauce that paired perfectly with cornflakes. For my main course, I opted for Sesame Chicken Nuggets with Green Rice. The green rice turned out to be a spicy green chili rice that was surprisingly tasty. The dish was generous in portion size, with plenty of chicken nuggets and a fresh yogurt and avocado dip. My dining companion had Chicken Rolls with Chicken Breast Strips and Kartoffel Friries, accompanied by a unique red cabbage kimchi to aid digestion. The meal came with two bottles of sauce, one a traditional chili sauce and the other a sweet Mexican smoked chili chipotle. Overall, we were very satisfied with the meal. The table next to us ordered tempting desserts, but we were too full to partake this time. Perhaps next time, we will order desserts to share and avoid overindulging. Taking photos of our food is not customary in foreign restaurants, so I refrained from doing so, despite feeling a bit embarrassed. (Translated)
I adored the bursting flavors, the lively ambiance, the colorful decor, and the Halloween celebrations that made this place truly enchanting!
