Bidra med feedbackAt the arrival the price was changed to another rate listed on their website. we said it was far too expensive for what we received, but we stayed anyway. it was a good location in the heart of the Amish country safe. it was rare, however, that someone actually manned the office. the office was only opened once a morning for coffee and then for the next 5 days we didn't have to appear on the morning and the door was locked. more often than not, no one visited the office also during the day. it was not surprising that while we were there, we were the only ones. if no one is in the office and no one answers the phone, that's not surprising. on the day we checked out, we were charged for an additional day. a gentleman who was randomly in the office and spoke little English, said we had to talk to the manager. once at home we tried to call for several days and nobody answered the phone. After the 4th day, he answered and told me I had to call back. you guessed. when the manager was there. I finally called my credit card company who tried to call her and was also told to call back. tag 6 I was in the position with the manager who said she would fix the problem. did not do this weeks later and we will be refunded on the additional day. both of our bed spreads were dirty and the room needed a lot of updating. so disappointed!
When arriving the price was changed to a different rate that was listed on their site. We were told it was the weekend rate Much too expensive for what we were receiving but we stayed anyway. It was a good location in the heart of Amish country for sure. However, it was rare that someone was actually manning the office. The office was open only once in the morning for coffee and then for the next 5 days we stayed no one appeared in the mornings and the door was locked. More often then not, NO ONE was attending the office even during the day. It was not surprising that while we were there we were the only ones. If no one is in the office and no one answers the phone, that is not surprising. On the day we checked out we were charged for an extra day. A gentleman who happened to be in the office and understood and spoke little english stated we had to talk to the manager. Once home we attempted to call for several days and no one answered the phone. Finally after the 4th day this same gentleman answered and told me I had to call back....you guessed it....when the manager was there. I finally called my credit card company who attempted to call them and was also told to call back. Day 6 I was able to catch up with the manager who stated she would fix the problem. Has not done so weeks later and doubt we will be refunded the extra day. Both of our bedspreads were filthy and the room needed much updating. So disappointed!!!
The most filthy and disgusting motel I was ever in. Smells so bad. So gross. Everything ! Ugly decor that is old and mismatched. The air in the room stinks like **** and cigarettes. Wretched curtains. Ripped screens. Filthy air conditioner. Crusty faucet. Just horrible
Ever since my son turned 4 we have stayed at this motel whenever we visit Lancaster which is at least once a year. Now my son, who is now 15, always asks me to book this motel when we plan to visit, he doesn't want to stay anywhere else. It is hidden in the country side making the location very quiet but it is also very close to the main road. This is a plus as the main road leads to many great attractions and outlets. The hotel itself is not built in a modern style and it does have its years but it is always clean and comfortable. The motel contains a nice pool which is cleaned regularly and a beautiful front yard which is presented with beautiful flowers and a playground. The owners, Peter and Dee are great people. They are very friendly and helpful . We love this place and always enjoy staying here .If you enjoy quiet, clean and simple motels I really recommend it.
I have never made my children stay on a bed and not move in a hotel room before. We only stayed the night and a night was enough. My sons feet turned black from the carpet, a shower was OUT of the question, the pool was green and although one might appreciate the beach vibes car air freshener flailing around the air conditioner it couldn’t mask the musky oder. To top it all off the constant rumble of pick up trucks in and out all night leaves me to believe something else was going on and last but not least thank you to whoever didn’t want to smoke in front of their room at 6:30 this morning probably knowing it would smell like smoke like ours did.
