We were 2 couples staying at the hotel for a few days and on a Monday choices were few so we elected to try the hotel restaurant. I ordered the suckling pig on cabbage, which may sound like a strange combination, but for me it is all I have been able to remember from that meal. The pig was done to perfection, from the thin hard crackling to the moist flavourful juicy meat it was the perfect dish. The combination of the pork and the finely shredded cabbage with a hint of curry and the walnuts was absolutely the one dish I will remember from this 3 week trip to Portugal and Spain. I would love to get the recipe for the cabbage. This is the perfect hotel for a visit to Ronda and that region especially when both couple had perfect rooms with amazing views. (the bonus was that when we were leaving a few days later we were held up because the King of Spain had arrived to help celebrate the city's 450 birthday.
Staff was very rude and clearly untrained. 2 out of the 4 dishes we ordered came wrong. The check also came wrong, with an extra main there and when we corrected one of the waitresses, she was extremely rude about it. Horrible experience. And mains were poor as well. We do NOT recommend.
We went to this restaurant for lunch because it was recommended by a colleague who visited it several years ago. We had ravenous appetites after a long hike and ascent into Ronda and a wonderful meal in an amazing setting with a stunning view was a great reward. The menu of the restaurant is varied and exquisite. We had a wonderful pate and octopus among other dishes. The quality of food and presentation were exceptional. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
