Tower Fish Chips - ROMFORD

The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the food is delicious.

We wanted to visit my aunt who has been craving traditional fish and chips for some time, something that is hard to find in our area now (my cousin says most places serve fries with fish that is not the same). My aunt recommended that we go to Tower to buy some to bring back for our lunch. None of us wanted a large portion, so I ended up buying a senior size cod and chips to share with my husband. The food was cooked fresh in front of me and I noticed their high level of hygiene (especially important during the pandemic). The chef seemed displeased with the quality of the fish and discarded a portion before starting over. I was disappointed by the waste, but impressed by their dedication to quality. They even offered to add salt if needed, waiting patiently as I called my aunt to confirm the taste (since she had eaten there before, it had to be perfect). The staff also provided a delicious tartar sauce at no extra cost. We were all impressed by the fair pricing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal without any complaints. We couldn't stop talking about the quality, generous portions, and the hot food. We talked about it for a week afterwards! I asked for a menu and was impressed by the wide variety of food available. My aunt will definitely be recommending Tower, as will I. The staff were friendly and clearly knew their regular customers, greeting them by name. There was no favoritism in their service, everyone was treated equally. Thank you Tower for making our afternoon a pleasant experience and making my aunt happy. It was lovely to see how much they care about their customers enjoying their food, and how much we enjoyed our meal.

This restaurant is beautiful, the portions are good, and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend it, and they should definitely try the spuds.
