Giggetto 2 - Roma

I had a good lunch here and we were served quickly. partner had bohnensuppe, the beautifully looked I just baked aubergine, which came in a bowl with sweet tasty tomats and cheese and served with very good brot and was exactly what I expected partner had a pizza and I agree that it was not the best for an Italian restaurant, but he liked it well enough. hauswein was good and a snip at two euro for a quarter liter and good value overall.

In a street with other attractive restaurants was my initial mistake to choose this place. followed a series of disappointments; first to sit inside despite existing seats outside. next, my luncheon took forever to serve, (not in a hurry) but the table. next to me, sitting after my arrival, was finished with her meal before my even arrived. eating was average, nothing special. the waiter forgot to serve me my appetizers, but surely was on the sheck. I can't remember when I was so happy to leave a restaurant as I was.

Were in the neighborhood looking for a small neighbourhood. eating was good bruschetta excellent, big insalata mista (I would recommend the medium, it was quite large) and the strecchini with artichokes was good. service a little slow, but when it came time for...siesta and we were finished with our meal, we stayed easy. no problem as they want, even if the personal was gone. desserts were better than we expected.

After a long trip we stop here. we order pasta and pizza, pizza was not good. in rom you will find better pizza. pasta smaller part. soothing staff.

Absolutely disappointing experience. I have given a try for the third time. This is a typical restaurant who lives with the glory of past days and the name of Giggetto 1, which is also horrible. Dishes are poor on every aspect. Pasta is overcooked and...very low quality, amatriciana sauce was inconsistent. Artichokes hard and soaked in oil. Fried artichokes are not available at Gigetto 2, don't ask me or the waiter why, we both don't know. Very expensive for the quality and location.   Service is ok but overall sad atmosphere.
