Found Crash a few weeks ago and loved it....until now. Have enjoyed a couple of visits in recent weeks. Lovely small bar with interesting drinks and friendly staff. Thought it would become a favourite place for regular visits. Changed my mind tonight. Upon arrival we went to sit in the outside seating area. Two ladies sat at small table with two toy dogs which both immediately started barking and snapping. Two women did nothing. We are dog owners so are neither frightened or unfamiliar with dogs. Waitress said that small table we were about to sit at was not available so could we sit at a table literally alongside table with two women and dogs. Dogs are still yapping and snapping so I jokingly said as long as they don’t bite my leg off. At this point the two women start pointing at another table in a corner as if they own the place and decide where customers sit away from their yappy snappy Cani. Waitress says that table not available but we could sit inside which we did not want to do on a pleasant summer evening. The point here is that instead of her politely asking the ladies to control their dogs so we could sit peacefully alongside them our seating was going to be dictated by the dogs and the need to cater for their zone. I asked the waitress whether she felt that the dogs or humans were more important to which she simply apologised without confirming yes or no. We then said we would rather leave than have our evening decided by the dogs and their owners. I have no idea if the ladies and dogs are regular cherished customers. All I can say to the owners of Crash is that I love your bar and having just moved to the area could have envisaged spending many evenings drinking your delicious beers and cocktails. We love dogs but will not let their unchecked behaviour and that of their owners dictate our evening or where we can sit.
I just came back from a vacation in Rome where I stayed in the Corso Trieste area. One of the highlights of the trip was spending Wednesday evening at Crash wine bar. The staff all spoke excellent English and were able to give us good information on the very interesting wines on their wine list. We really enjoyed drinking some wines that we aren't able to find around here. All in all it was such a good time that we plan to stay in the same area again when we return to Rome in early October. The Corso Trieste area is really a peaceful spot to spend a few days away from the crowds of Rome.
Wine selection worthy and “stuzzichini” studied. exquisitely kind staff. recommended!
An unforgettable evening at the roma crash, where exquisite dishes, fine wines and atmosphere make it a place of class. compliments for hospitality.
