Caffe roma, corner via m. de falla via e. wolf ferrari, infernetto, rom we have our primi colazioni in a series of different caffes at the via cristoforo colombo ende of the via e. wolf ferrari for more years than we like to remember., with the quantity available as new places and others fad into the shadows. this is a large crossing in casal palocco on the other side of c. colombo and for traffic to east to rom. the caffe roma is one of the few caffes on this stretch of wolf ferraris. the area has been extensively redesigned in recent times and especially after the establishment of the residential complex best western 4 star triangoli, which offers rooms, apartments and houses. in the last two years a smart new benzinaio was also built. the great difference to infernetto in the two years was the erection of traffic – more new houses, more cars, more people, etc. and, during peak working times, the stow that regularly for a kilometer or more along wolf ferrrari – often past the caffe roma. and it is not only at this intersection on the c. colombo, but also the others. they need to know their travel times for this stress-free coffee/goats – before 07.30 and after 09.30 in the school season there are also different drop-off and pick-up times to take into account. we changed into the caffe roma handful of years back given place, comfort and comfort, but decisive, given friendly service, large coffee and freshly baked cornetti. there is a pasticerria available – that is, regular supply with freshly baked cornetti – and a gelateria (for the hot afternoon/week end trading). look at the review of July18 for background, etc. much of which continue to apply to today – location, layout, comfortable air/con, sitting opportunities inside, and handful sitting outside under cover for those who prefer their breakfast al fresco. here they escape from the conscientious environmental music in the inner. we sat within five minutes in the bar – quite normal practice and despite half dozens or more people in the bar and the short waiting queue at the reception. there are always dozens or more already sitting – speaking/reading the paper. sit for 60 and outside for about half this number; the people sit 4 5 maximum by small square tables with limited space in between. we took tomorrow / break piece coffee / cornetti at the caffe roma on two consecutive days in this week Monday was the place >70% full, the next day only a handful – the same place, the same time. Why the difference? if they have to take care of a lively bar when making space – a vassoio always helps, but so the second person carries the caffeine separately. coffee in a high glass that turns into a basic, is always on a risk of jerking. a tablet also helps to pass through doors. both paintings in this week we have in the shaved against the outer glass wall (in there is air/cone - but they do not need it before the late morning); exit from the front and go around and there is an automated door; exit from the side next to the lateria and they need to push the door by hand (and there is no where they put their tablet down). out there are only them and five more empty tables – surrounded by a heck about 1.25 high in ceramic boxes; so well protected from traffic and the parked cars / motorcycles of the other customers. the place is also a popular stop for the local mull collector car, mobile police and postie. sometimes this is an immediate/1 2 minute stop – the vehicles/bikes/people rush in and out. we have paid 4,80 € for our breakfast – caffeine 1,50 €, cappuccino 1,33 € and cornetti 1,00 €/e what is not to like about the caffe roma? fresh coffee massetti in a quiet/private corner – traditional start in a modern suburb of the city – for those who do not have to rush into the office/shop/shop/school. peter steele infernetto 27. august 2019
