Bidra med feedbackWe accidentally stumbled over this beautiful farm restaurant and fortunately got a table for our group of friends. The queen of the kitchen itself, her son and the rest of the staff treated us like old friends and served us the most exquisite dishes. Each dish was perfectly balanced and had everything you could wish. After a perfect evening we left with raised spirits and the promise to come back. Prices were more than fair for what we experienced.
One of the best dinners. The lamb chops cooked as per chefs decision was the best the fish and pork were just as tasty. The experience, service and ambiance was incredible. Saw some negative reviews about service but we didn't experience any of that. We walked in one night but it was booked fully on a Sunday night so the waiter was able to squeeze us in the next night and we're so thankful he was accommodating!
I have tried a few times to dine at Marco Polo, and succeeded after booking a few days in advance. Oh and what a dine that was, a superb experience that was worth all the wait. I heard the lovely gentleman serving us speak perfectly in English, French and Italian and everyone was incredibly warm, personable, and very knowledgeable about food. Everything tasted exquisite and the pistachio baklava desert is now probably top 3 best deserts in my life. Thank you to that awesome waiter who waited for me to change my mind ; Marco Polo is an experience. Book in advance and treat yourself.
Marco Polo Restaurant is located in a quiet back street of the old town and has a basement entrance. There are no urgent waiters harassing you for your custom, or dated photos show the same uninteresting, predictable tourist food that is often available on site. The original work of art and the antique furniture of the arched reception room lead to a staircase painted in bold contrasting colors: design and creativity take place here. The seating area is located in a garden with a tasteful decor. The glassware, dishes, cutlery and lighting were carefully selected to improve the culinary experience. Even the plants stimulate the senses with heady aromas. All this teases your senses before the main highlight: the excellent food. The menu offers an exciting selection of dishes combined with ingredients to create tempting, unique dishes that are not found elsewhere in the area. The charming waiter happyly explains the peculiarities of the evening, which the choice of our meal even more of a beautiful challenge. We chose the pear and blue cheese salad together with Fava for our common starter: beautifully presented, tasteful, tasteful. Good choices. Our main selection of pork fillet served with vegetables spaghetti and lamb chops with vegetables were both excellent dishes. The service is welcoming, courtesy and friendly, but at the same time relaxed and comfortable. I could practice Marco Polo Restaurant, but I suggest you go yourself. They won't be disappointed.
