Bidra med feedbackMy wife had to come to Sacramento for work. So I tagged along since I had the days off While she was at work, she told me to look for someplace for dinner. Back home in Hawaii, we were going to eat Italian for dinner before we left for Sacramento but we didn't have a chance to. So still craving Italian, I choose Via Roma Pizzeria Con Cucina based on the reviews on Yelp. I'm so glad that I did. We were greeted so nicely and the owner took the time to ask us if we had any questions. We didn't know what to eat so he recommended dishes based on what we wanted. The food here is so good! The owner also comes by to check how we were doing and that was such a nice personal touch. They gave us a complimentary tiramisu for dessert too. The whole staff was excellent and made our dining experience pleasant. The next time we come back to Sacramento, we are definitely coming back. I want to try either the linguine scampi or chicken parmigiana. We will also bring a little treat from Hawaii for the family to reciprocate the Aloha they showed us.
Everything we ordered was amazing ! The whole family was pleased with via Roma pizzeria . A must try .

There is no better than the homemade welcome here. Just like grandmas. A local go too...
We ordered a Braised Meatballs Appetizer, I had the cioppino and Katie had the kids spaghetti and meatballs and tiramisu for desert. We also got a Hawaiian pizza to-go. It was all incredible, but before I describe how yummy the food is, I 've got to tell you about the owner. When I was talking to him, I instantly felt like I was catching up with an old friend. He was so nice, I thought he surely recognized us because he was being so incredibly nice. Then I overheard him talking to the other customers with the same enthusiasm and passion for what he does. It 's worth the drive to get there solely to talk to Henry, let alone the delicious food. He told me that he also has a location in Rocklin but Lincoln is his baby 's, baby. We talked about so much that all I can say is, go say hi to the owner Henry. I was asking him some questions about the menu and he said the special this weekend is cioppino. I had a record scratch moment... I haven 't had seafood since I met my wife because she 's not a fan of eating ocean creatures. I am a fan though, and I LOVE cioppino! If you don 't know what it is, it 's an Italian American stew of seafood cooked with tomatoes and wine. I 've always thought that to get a good cioppino, you gotta go to San Francisco. If you 're a fan, try it and I think you 'll love it. Don 't worry if you aren 't a fan of seafood. They have all the great stuff that you 'd find in an Italian restaurant. Katie and I both had the Braised Meatballs as an appetizer. The seasoning was great and the cheese it was topped with was perfect with the meatballs. When I asked Katie what she thought of the spaghetti and meatballs, she said it was a masterpiece. The tiramisu was light and fluffy and not too rich. I usually don 't order tiramisu because I expect it to be too rich, but it was perfect. We ordered a pizza to go since the place, after all, is a pizzeria. I was full after dinner but tried the pizza and it was fantastic. My wife said that she really liked the thickness of the dough and the cheese was great. The service was outstanding. All the standard stuff was covered, soda was always full, attentive without hovering but the part that makes it outstanding is Henry. He knows exactly what role he should play in his business in the dining area with guests and does it very, very well. The music choices they made were fantastic. I 've always loved that famous Italian song, Tu vuò fà l 'americano You Want to Play American . We heard that and many other authentic Italian music in the background. I actually used shazam to listen to it in the car on our way home. Does it make me old to say that I used shazam to find a famous jazz song? Oh well, so be it. LOL
