Palmer's Restauant - Rockhampton

We ordered lamb and pork dishes at this restaurant. The staff was gluten-friendly and helpful. The food was high quality and reasonably priced. The restaurant also had available room equipment.

My partner and I decided to dine at the bistro of this hotel, as it appeared lovely on their website. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. I ordered the pasta with pumpkin and spinach, but it arrived with no spinach, pumpkin, or basil as promised. It seemed to have been microwaved and was tasteless. My partner's steak was frozen in the middle and the side of sweet potatoes we ordered never came out. The salad was also missing. The service was terrible, with no staff on the floor to address our concerns. We were told that this place served the best steaks in Rockhampton, but this was the most disappointing meal we have ever had. We left without finishing our food and ended up going to McDonald's for a better meal. If a fast food chain can serve better food than a supposedly high-end restaurant, there is a serious issue in the kitchen that needs to be addressed. This experience has put us off dining in this city altogether.

I have dined at this restaurant several times and most of the time, I have had a good meal. The menu has a good variety and the prices are inexpensive.

This beautifully preserved old 1800 hotel, in the heart of gracemere, north qld. is a must to see when they are in the rockhampton area. we have already dined twice there and have been oversown by the excellent food. both paints we have on a...Friday evening, so the restaurant was full (it seems to be the place for birthday parties,) but eating came in a reasonable time and was delicious, hot and well presented. the workers were busy, but were friendly and helpful. I am not sure if it is the beautiful mix of old and modern designs in the restaurant that there is such a warm and welcoming feeling, but some X factor works there, and they feel like home. the hotel has a warm and lively atmosphere. it will be our first port of call on our return to the rockhampton area. Top brands!

I stayed at the Leichhardt for a couple of nights during the week and after a busy day at work, decided that I would eat in. The Bistro has a good selection of meals at a reasonable price. My first night there, I had Grilled...Chicken with Sweet Chilli Prawns and the second night I had Rib Fillet topped with Calamari and Pepper Sauce and salad and chips. Both meals were very good and I did not have to wait long for them. I also had the buffet breakfast. There was not a great variety of hot foods (bacon, tomatoes, poached or scrambled eggs), but what was there was very tasty. There was coffee/tea, juice and cereals as well as toast. It is a place that I would stay at again.
