I Luv Sushi - Rockford

I ordered a quick bite for takeout using the “order online” feature of THEIR website. I got the chicken noodles $13 which were pretty good and added a California Roll for $4. The total that I prepaid was $17.56. When I got to the restaurant they had a receipt for me to sign for me sign over $20! I looked it over and saw the prices for the food completely different than their website.I brought this up and the lady said, it’s okay you paid. I replied the prices are wrong. She said oh yeah, I’ll fix it.Should have not bought it but I didn’t know how that would work since I already authorized the smaller amount. Anyway, I knew I would write them up and those of you out there in Rockford may think twice before giving this company your business.And the rice on the CA Roll was off. Pasty in a bad way.

A little confusion as it appears this is no longer I Luv Sushi but some kind of Korean fusion place. I was a little disappointed as it had been awhile since we'd eaten here, only to find out it no longer existed.The menu is significantly pared down compared to the previous owners. That being said, the food that my husband and I had was quite nice. The service was a little slow and for the low volume of people in the restaurant, makes me wonder how it will be if they're ever really busy. But overall not bad, no longer my go to sushi place as I like the larger menu with more options

In town for business. Arrived early, just after 5PM, restaurant was pedestrian, a few tables. I sat at the bar and was waited upon by Andy. Very professional polite but not overly chatty.The food, I'm easy Salmon rolls, seaweed salad and Ikura Nigiri style to finish. The rice and salmon were on point as was the seaweed salad, the Ikura (Salmon rowe) was fresh and robust!

They were very patient and kind, the creativity with the citrus in the special rolls was A+, the roll sizes were awesome with a generous amount of fish, and they honestly went above and beyond for us over all. The dessert menu is also super creative. Thank you all very much ???

Fresh fish and great service is wassup here. The portions and prices are good. We stop in here whenever we are in the area and have a craving for sushi.
