Food was good but slightly overpriced compared to other local Chinese takeaways. Staff were pleasant when we arrived to collect but person on the phone taking the orders was very abrupt.

Took about 20-25 attempts to get through as was always busy tone. Guessing that’s just because it’s a Saturday night so not too important. Guy there took my order, seemed a little abrupt at first but once he got started with the order seemed like quite a nice guy. Food was estimated delivery 35-45 minutes and arrived spot on 35 minutes. Delivery driver was very polite. Food was all correct when it arrived and was still very warm. Also had some fortune cookies in there which was a nice touch for the kids. It was a bit more expensive than our usual takeaway and food was more expensive than it said on the menu we had. Maybe there’s a new menu? Would be nice to have a new menu delivered with the food. Overall a pretty good experience and a happy, full family.

We have just had another delivery from the golden lion and it was absolutely delicious the best ever ,we had giant sized crispy chicken balls the chicken was lovely and tender not chewy batter was crispy,the Chinese chicken was lovely and moist everything was cooked fresh and it came quickly the staff were friendly could not fault it one bit will def have the set meal for 2 again

On a friends recommendation we tried this takeaway. Never ever again!! The man who answered the phone was rude from the outset. When I asked him to read it back, he did begrudginly and then moaned as I didnt have a menu to hand. I rung back to ask the price as I had forgotten and was told I have already told you once! The singapore rice noodles were bland with no spice at all, the king poo had a nice taste but bland, the curry was watery as was the sweet and sour sauce, the chicken balls were nice. The pancake roll was tasteless, the ribs had a lovely sauce but chewy meat. No thanks

Hadn’t had a takeaway Chinese meal for many years. But on a whim we decided to have one. Ordered Set meal A for 2 and collected. Fast service. Good price and delicious food. Even able to save some for tomorrow. Won’t take so long to order another.
