Royal Park - Rochester

Best brunch around with excellent service. And the view from their deck overlooking woods and paint creek is a beautiful setting!

Recently on a business trip. My buyer recommended Royal Park. The hotel is very cute, grounds are great and desk employees are very kind. However, my room was very humid at all times and the blower for the AC sounded like I was in the Ford factory. Needless to say, I slept horribly and had a very important meeting the next day. To make matters worse, I wake up and realize there aren't coffee makers in the room. I travel A LOT for both work and pleasure. This is my first US hotel that doesn't have a coffee maker. Unfortunately as cute as it is, I need my sleep and prefer not to make a trip to the lobby before I'm even awake for my coffee.

This hotel inconvenienced my friend(the bride) and the whole bridal/grooms party in every way during her wedding. They didn 't honor room reservations that were made months in advance, inconveniencing people who had been drinking the night of the wedding and had no place to go. They gave the bridal suite away to someone else, and then shifted us around numerous times throughout the day- we got ready in a conference room on the first floor but they refused to let us stay in the conference room for the whole day to store our stuff. The amount of times we were shifted around throughout the day was ridiculous. We went to the library to take pictures but again we 're told to move because an employee had a meeting there. Wedding party is Middle Eastern. Don 't bother having your wedding here unless you 're one of their preferred customers and fit the image of people that they are looking for. My friend is truly a saint for dealing with all of this during her wedding day. I would never recommend someone to have their wedding here.
