Bidra med feedbackTried all weekend to get a rez (10/21/22); phone never picked up. Don't sit next to the door; commotion with take-out orders is disruptive. Hot meals were delivered and were cold by the time we waited for a salad entree to be made. The food is good, but everything else needs improvement.
Had dinner here for the first time. From the minute we called to see if there was outdoor seating, this place was the best. Kevin took our call and when we told him we were close by and hoped for an outside table he reserved one for me. When we arrived Kevin was the only server on because of several call ins. He handled it like a pro. The patio was full but he made us and all the diners feel like we were the most important people in the world. We were definitely all rooting for him. We had the pizza Bianca which was delicious and were treated with bread and ?extra? sample size cocktails as a thank you for our patience. (It was a lovely night- no need for patience). Kevin made a connection with each table and took time. We never felt like he was just trying to get through it. Did I say the food was fabulous? Bread fresh and warm with garlic butter. Our pizza was great. We will be back for sure.
The first two times that I ordered pizza here it was great. The LAST time I went the guy added a whole bunch of oil of the top and bottom of the crust, and it didn't turn our right. He did that to two whole pizzas and both were absolutely disgusting. I will never eat here again. Absolutely gross!!!!!!!
Amazing spot on earth! Owner, clientelle, but most of all, the food! Stan has it all going on! From Pittsburgh.
When we walked in, we were kindly greeted and quickly seated. We each ordered a glass of wine and a water. NOT ONE TIME did he ask us if we wanted refills the entire meal. My water was gone and my wine practically as well before our entrees were even brought out. When we ordered zucchini fries as an app, there appeared to be mold on the Parmesan shavings (see picture of zucchini fries). I brought this up, and they said ?oh we saw this before it had to have been mixed with the blue cheese crumbles again, giving it that look.? The cook then came out proceeding to show us the bin of blue cheese, I know what blue cheese looks like. The mold looking color could not be brushed off the cheese like it had been mixed with a different kind, it was mold. It was the cheese. I didn?t buy this blue cheese charade. And even if I did, you?d think this wouldn?t be a repeat of this occurrence, since it supposedly had happened before. They did not offer to comp our app or even make us a fresh batch. The zucchini fries were not crisp like you?d hope. For our entrees, I ordered the Tuscan gnocchi, which has a maple butter cream sauce and my fiancé ordered chicken parm. The portions were extremely small for the provinces. Not worth it. The sauce on his entree was like jar sauce. The chicken was good. My meal was okay ish. I couldn?t finish because by half way through the maple had tasted so strong it was like I was eating pancakes doused in syrup. Throughout the whole meal, the staff was talking very loudly behind the bar in a small, very lightly filled, restaurant. They weren?t inappropriate, but I now know a lot about them. At the end, I finally asked for more water thinking our server would offer us a dessert menu. Nope. Said I?ll bring the check. I would not recommend The service being mediocre and the food not being good at all.
