Location good, food yunny and cheap. Near ram jhula and a nice plafe to stop for lunch. They have brown rice and it is very good.
We were here several times during our stay in Rishikesh. You have several options with Tofu, like the Tofu-Panak that is great. Our other favorite is Pumpkin Masala. It has a great view of Ganga and the staff is friendly.
This restaurant is easy to miss if you do not see the sign that you need to climb to the entrance, but don’t leave it definitely worth the ascent. Gorgeous Ganga views and exceptional food await. The menu is prepared with vegan options, and everything is fresh to order. It may take a few minutes to get your food, but that's because it's fresh, and the portions are huge. They have everything from delicious fresh juices to delicious soups, including a vegan French onion without cheese. Cuisines include Indian, Tibetan (the veggie momo dumplings), Italian (perfectly cooked penne arrabiata), sandwiches, incredible hummus with warm pita (highly recommended), Chinese roasted rice and noodles (a lot with tofu tasty, expertly prepared), mexican, American/western (the Tofu mushroom burgers are fquisit and fries). Everything is prepared down in the kitchen and the same guy brought us our food and cleaned our table every time this guy spent all day, heavy dishes up and down the stairs with a smile on his face, so please make sure to show him an extra love. This restaurant may be easily overlooked if you don't see the sign. You have to climb a metal staircase to reach the entrance, but don't let that discourage you - it is definitely worth the effort. Stunning views of the Ganges and exceptional food await you. The menu is filled with vegan options, all prepared fresh to order. It may take a bit longer to receive your food, but that's because it's freshly made and the portions are generous. They offer a variety of items, from fresh juices to soups (including a vegan French onion without cheese), Indian, Tibetan (try the veggie momo dumplings), Italian (perfectly cooked penne arrabiata), sandwiches, delicious hummus with warm pita (highly recommended), Chinese fried rice and noodles (many with tofu), Mexican, American/Western (the tofu mushroom burger is fantastic and the fries are tasty), and Middle Eastern dishes. Everything is made in the kitchen downstairs, and the same person serves and clears your table each time, smiling as he carries heavy dishes up and down the stairs all day. Show him some extra love. The prices are incredibly affordable for the quality of food and service. We visited at least four times in one week. Open all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommended.
