Bidra med feedbackThis place is run by amazing staff who know how to manage a busy place while creating an excellent dining experience. The food is great. We came for breakfast row days in a row (may go again tmw! and had the Rancheros 10/10, coconut shrimp 10/10 literally the best we've ever had, greek salad 10/10 dressing is perfect, and the big V breakfast 10/10 (hearty vegetarian option . Also bought a couple of artisan items (stained glass and an ornament Prices make sense too. Well done!
We visited the English Rose for breakfast on the first day of our visit to the island. We had a reservation-thank goodness because they won't let you park in the lot if you don't, so definitely make a reservation ahead of time if you want to visit. The restaurant is located on top of a very steep, very narrow road-ed hill and is a bit treacherous to get to, but once you're there the view makes you forget about the drive. While I was glad the see there was a vegan option on the menu there was only one listed. After talking with the waitress I learned the avocado toast was vegan as well and ordered it along with an iced oat milk latte. The coffee was average, as was the toast. The toast itself was cold and very hard, it was also only a half slice of bread, which disappointed me. The mushroom toast which one of my friends got was a whole piece so I'm not sure why the avocado was only half. The avocado itself was good, but without any salt, pepper or acid it was a bit bland, especially on the cold toast. The prices at this restaurant are also quite high considering the quality of food. I don't recommend going for the food, but the view is nice.
If you're not scared of step drives this place is a good place to check out. The ambiance was very beach vibes and very modern. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Our food was very good but my potatoes were extremely salty. The bread on the Benedict was a little tough but manageable. Overall it's a 8 out of 10 on the east of PR.
Great location, horrible service!!. We came across this place because of a friend that recommended it. The food looked nice, but unfortunately didnt get to try it as it took them 1hr 30min to serve us. While I understand we came during high season, the staff did not contribute to fix the issue, instead we watched tables around us order, eat and pay their tab before we had even received our order. Would not return!
Don't get me wrong, do I go here absolutely! Do I bring friends when they visit? For sure. Do I love the food/service it's good, not great. Do I love the view and feel like it's kind of a Rincon staple, yes. That pretty much sums it up! Great views, on top of a mountain, overlooking trees for miles and the ocean. The menu is huge so there is always something for everyone. I've gotten both of the breakfast burritos and the turkey hash most recently and as odd as the turkey hash sounds it might be my favorite thing on the menu! Balsamic, maple syrup and hot sauce in one dish I was hesitant too but it's really good. Their coffee, not so good in my opinion. If you have a big group or are going at the busy times I'd give them a call for sure to see if you can get a reservation first (on the patio for views if you can). They get busy! Overall, will I be back, yes. There aren't a ton of true breakfast spots in Rincon so it will have to stay a staple.
