Ruelo Patisserie - Richmond Hill

In terms of taste and quality of their ingredients, they are second to none. Stellar presentation and mouthwatering cakes, I always recommend my friends to Ruelo. I had my wedding cake custom made from them 13 years ago, and I recalled my family and friends having high praises for the cake. From croissants to ice cream and macarons, all their desserts and baked goods taste divine. Their baked goods are slightly pricier than competitors, but the quality is what justifies the cost and wins me over most of the time.

Service was bad. Showed up to get the cake at 2:30 as agreed upon but was told the cake was at their other location despite specifying pickup for this location. I left and was told the cake would be ready around 3 and would receive a call when it was ready. I never received a call and went to get the cake at 3:30. The blossom cake was not as advertised on their website. The cake was supposed to be red but came out a light pink. I was told it had to do with the inconsistencies in their glaze.Not once did they apologize for being late or having the colour wrong. Terrible customer service.I used to order from them quite often (2 years ago) but now I don’t think I’ll return.

It is…. what it is. Cake taste good, pricing are on the upper side. Service are….. typical Chinese style and that’s considered as rude to most Canadian but normal as Chinese.

Picked up 2 individual cakes super last min to bring home for a celebration and they were really good. Got the Mango Almond and Chocolate Earl Grey.I can’t speak to ordering cakes in advance but everything was good with what was in store already.

Had my daughter pick up a jasmine guava cake and wasn’t ready on time. Would have appreciated a call to let us know, had to wait 1 hour. The cake has no taste, sponge is dry and cake tastes like it has been frozen. My family has been coming here for years. Very disappointed in the quality and service. Wishing you guys will get your act together and improve. If you want to stay in business.
