Kim Tao Hot Pot Jīn Dào Huǒ Guō

This is the only Hong Kong style Hot Pot. Their stuffed deep fried tofu, green pepper and eggplant is really good. Their clay pot rice is really good too.There hot pot variations are typical simple Hong Kong style hot pot. Exactly the basic things Hongkonger likes.

Kim Tao is more HK or Canton style hotpot place. They offer many varities of meats, veggies and cooked foods. I love their cooked foods. Tofu, egg plants snacks are very tasty. So do their fried chicken wings, fried milk curds are also very tasty and hot taro dessert soup. You can select many different sauces and sides to mix your own hotpot sauces including spicy soy sauce, Hoi Sin Sauce, Sa Dai sauce, Sa Cha sauce, minced gingers, garlics, raw eggs, diced chilli peppers, diced green onions etc. Their veggies are fresh and I love the taro slices, lotus root slices and watercrests etc.... For adult M-Thur 29.99 F-S extra $2. However, they charge for soup base now. Satay and clear chicken soup base is $13.99 and other two combo soup bases selection is $16.99. Seafoods selections are extra too. Eg. Oysters, Shrimps, or Mussels. Price include all u can drink lemon tea or plum juice. Open daily from 3:00pm. till 1am. Close on Tues. I will recommend Kim Tao for their foods selections and their cooked foods selections.

Great experience. Wide selection of food items, although some were sold out. Different from a lot of the other hot pot restaurants as they deliver more of a Cantonese experience. Love the snack menu as well.

The food was okay, with a decent variety. The service was very slow (understaffed? . With how much we paid including the soup base and service fee, I feel there are AYCE places with better value out there.

Wow been a few times in the past but today they finally renovated the interior. Food is still pretty standard compared to the past but they added more items to the menu. For the price it's pretty decent for the variety and amount of food they gave. Free lemon tea or plum juice is a bonus! They did start to charge for the soup base sadly starting at $13.99 for 2 flavour. Service is definitely better than before. Food came out very quickly although they did miss a few orders. I still like how the ordering process is paper and pencil.Definitely one of my go-to hot pot places for a decent price.
