Bidra med feedbackVery nice and cozy place. Liked that place for the atmosphere. Food is great too. Delicious smoothies. A lot of fresh choices. Great coffee.
Dropped by for dessert tonight and had a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere in this Persian cafe is cozy and relaxing; the kind of place that makes you want to stay and chat for hours. The lower level is more of a lounge area and is where the cakes and pastries are displayed. The upper level is slightly more energetic and most of the dinner patrons are seated up there. The Molten Chocolate Cake is *very* moist, although i found the 'molten ' centre to be a little runnier than preferred. The Pistachio Ice Cream was really good — little pistachio bits in every spoonful. Persians certainly know how to do ice cream right, because it didn 't start melting until the very last spoonful. I will return to try more of their delectable-looking cakes!
Good desserts at BB Cafe lots of pistachio desserts! The food was pretty good too and reasonably priced. The service was a little slow though, but it was difficult for the waitresses to have to deal with two floors of customers so it was a little understandable.
Well Maintained Richmond Hill Cafe With Friendly Staff. E: I had initially driven to Williams Coffee Pub at Yonge Elgin Mills only to find an abandoned store that likely has been so for several months. Admittedly, my last visit there was three years ago when a former friend and I had enjoyed a late night pastry, but as one of the few places to chat and get something past kiddy’s bedtime it was surprising to see how they had gone out of business. There is always Caffe Demetre near Yonge Carrville of course, but before getting there I came across B.B. Café.<br/ This café’s fare is made with care and a commitment to quality. Consistency will prove whether this statement stands the test of time or not, but the assertion stands if only based on tonight’s experience. I was merely in for a juice and hot chocolate, but ended up enjoying a crème caramel. It was quite good. The café claims that all items are made freshly and from scratch and it did look like it. The dessert was delicious, tasty, yet not too sweet. Indeed, the touch of bitterness worked for me. The side of cream was the real McCoy too. <br/ The menu also offers a big coffee, Tea And Tisane and fresh juices selection. There are also food “main dishes” on the menu, like sandwiches and paninis, which occupy one page of the menu.<br/ <br/ A: Nothing turns one off as much as dirt or a mess. On the other hand, the one thing that makes for a superior location is cleanliness and immaculate attention to details. B.B. Café was faultlessly clean.<br/ The place is packed with fresh pastry, cakes and cookies yet did not come across as chaotic. The primary colours here are brown. It looks like the café has a sole table with four chairs, but that is because a second floor is at the end of a stairway by the entrance. There were quite a few people ascending and descending. The music on the PA system was spanning the world. Only when the music went from Spanish to Italian to Iranian did it occur to me that the ownership is Iranian. The owner hails from Iran, one chef is from Singapore and others here are locally born. Perhaps the small menu section accorded to “Persian Ice” or the table with Iranian New Year sweets would have been another clue! The fireplace was an agent of ambiance, as well as heat.<br/ <br/ T: This is not the café to go to for fast food. The waitress cum manager will attend to you promptly enough and the bill too will arrive quickly, but ordering crème caramel, crepe, waffle or a dinner item will be at least ten minutes. They do make things freshly and from scratch. The shelves are lined with ‘dry’ confectionary and the fridges are filled with cakes, pastry and puffs, but otherwise an order sends staff into deliberate preparation. Witnessing the chefs prepare my order, a waffle, pastry and even a latte from my vantage point made me appreciate the care they seem to put into their food. <br/ <br/ S: The staff was nice and friendly. Everyone is uniformed in black. The waitress offered Butternut Squash soup as the day’s – well, late night’s special. I ended up seeing a Crème Caramel on the menu and opted for it.<br/ The staff was accommodating and was happy to offer to add extras or two options/flavours, etc. for free when faced with customer indecision. Wi Fi is offered as well.
First time I had turkish coffee! It was rich, strong, and smooth. Loved it. Takes about 5 min to make since it's fresh so if you're in a rush, order a different drink. The lady at the front was very friendly. She gave me and my friend a chickpea cookie with our coffee. Just the right amount of sweet to counter the bitterness of the coffee. Perfect balance! Dine-in currently unavailable. Parking at the back, parking entrance can only fit one car at a time so watch for incoming traffic.
