Taqueria Isabel - Richmond

First I was a little skeptical due to the one star rating, but I recommend 10/10 this location. the sopis were amazing and so was the pozole. definitiw no 1 star taqueria.

Best tacos in Richmond... Im from california and i was missing tacos trucks from cali ? Not anymore i love Taqueria Isabel these are Mexican tacos. Yummy?

I was SO excited to see this coming soon sign. Long story short, ordered 3 tacos to go bc of Covid, drove a mile to eat them at a park (the sooner the better with tacos), and was completely disappointed. They managed to shove 3 tacos into the smallest to-go container I 've ever seen. The tortillas were mushy and steaming on each other, the protein had absolutely zero flavor, and it was overall a disgusting and gross experience. I couldn 't get through one taco let alone 3. Also, I have eaten at virtually every authentic taqueria in the city, and I have been able to interact and order with Spanish-speaking employees. The front of house here seemed unable to understand when I pointed to the menu and said in Spanish what I wanted; she had to get another employee to help, and honestly it wasn 't any help at all. Don 't waste your time or money here. I 'd bet they 'll be closed within the next 2 months. Ick.
