Nacho Mama's - Richmond

Very funny and relaxed atmosphere! the restaurant decor is perfect for the feeling of this place. it is a smaller position with inside and outside seat. margaritas and nachos were fantastic! definitiw must try the guac and Queso-Dip.

If they want to eat at a Mexican place that is led by college students and vegetarian hippies that are quite too proud as trendy they try to be, then that is their place. if you want good Mexican food with quite fast service, look elsewhere.

Really a good experience. I agree with most people that the service is not great, the waiter was too eager and was simply not interested, but eating was really good for richmond mexican! I had the trio (bef, huh and gaytaco) which was good, and my wife had the shrimp tacos who had an excellent mango salsa...Margarita was also great!

Bland salsa and eating is nothing to write home. much better carytown restaurants than that.

Over Hyped ****.. The wait staff were very helpful, but the food was so vile that i couldn't even eat it. I ordered the chile relleno, which is a pablano peper traditionaly fried in an egg batter and stuffed with cheese and then smothered in a brown sauce. i was actually kind of excited, because most places tend to not understand the part about it needing to be battered. however, the chile relleno was baked, not fried, resulting in a dry and stiff texture unlike the moist and fluffy texture that it should have been. i never thought that you could over stuff something with cheese before, but they did. the sauce was basically non existant. just a slight drizzle. i guess it was for colour. i...read more
